It's lonely out here.
I'd love to hear from you if you have stopped by this blog because the subject speaks to you.
I was so happy to read Mary's comment at the end of my last post. Let's have many more of the same.
I am very interested in hearing from people who want to live intentionally as they grow older. I love to learn from others and, not surprisingly, curiosity is one of my highest prized strengths.
So I am inviting you to leave a comment about your own experience of life after 50.
What do you think about most often these days?
What new ventures have you undertaken?
What activities do you continue to enjoy most?
What do you like about this stage of life?
What makes life meaningful to you now?
What is your next step?
If you don't want to leave a comment, write to me at coachingwithwit@gmail.com and I will edit your words to hide your identity, if that's an issue. The more voices I can bring to this blog, the richer it will become as a gathering place for women "of a certain age."
I am on the look out for women like me. I live in a small country town and find I don't connect with women of my age group. I'm looking for more. I want to maximise this time in my life. Missed out on the 70's revolution because of being bogged down with child rearing and have made a promise to myself that my aging will be as interesting as I can make it.

Hi, I'm about to turn 69 in April. I just finished writing a musical play on aging titled A New Wrinkle, which I hope to see performed in many cities as a vehicle for social change (cultural perceptions of elders are outdated--time for emergence of a new paradigm!)
I began developing Sage's Play, offering programs in creative aging, wellness and spirit, www.sagesplay.com and started a blog at http://sagesplay.blogspot.com.
I find this a very rich time of life. Glad to connect with you!

I used to wish there was a magazine for women over 70, like there is "More" for women over 50. I turned 75 in September, have retired from TWO careers, and just a year ago, I was hired as full-time faculty for our state university. I am energetic, healthy, sexually active (not married), a great-grandmother, and fashionable. I also write a blog (please check it out - http://lavalily.com) and do things many of my students can't or won't do. They say I give them a new role model for aging. I'm glad I found you!

This Friday, I am taking an all day workshop with Anita Meyers, fabric artist who was a featured presenter at a past Handweavers Guild of America Convergence. I loved her presentation of a collection of long vests that represented the ages of women. Friday she will lead us through a series of work stations where we try a variety of fabric enhancing techniques and leave with a notebook of samples.
